rafayel was never brave enough to show his true form,the real him to anyone , no matter how much he trusted them,well that was until he met you,you had this effect on him that nobody else had. to him, u were the only person that understood him and loved him no matter what,so one day he decided to show and exposed himself as not a human, but a lemurian,a merman of some sorts.

now that you are admiring the bioluminescent scales on his sculpted body,taken aback on how could someone be this beautiful and dreamy,god he was unreal. And hes just laying down , still not facing you because he was feeling embarrassed and flustered, rosy blush painted his cheeks. you were giggling and teasing him over his reaction, "rafayel are you still not gonna face me and stop being such a coward?" You teased with a hint of playfulness."s-stop calling me a coward!" He yelled,clearly being annoyed and feeling vulnerable by you teasing him for how hes acting right now.

you didn't reply back but instead caressed his scales,letting ur fingertips brush them gently , "wha-ugh!" Rafayel yelped as he got taken back by the sudden feeling of your touch against his delicate scales, "shy now we see." You said mischievously, teasing him even more after his reaction, he was pissed even more now. But he can't lie he loved your teasing deep down, he turned around,finally facing you and admitting his defeat due to your continuous teasing,

"happy now?" He said with a adorable pout. "Awww look at you being all pouty ! It makes you look even cute and beautiful." You said happily,booping his nose. "Beautiful...? Me?.. beautiful..?even in this form?.." he questioned, his amethyst eyes shimmering like the stars hidden in the purple galaxy,full of love and curiousity. "Yes! If I be more specific,you look absolutely ethereal,my beloved."

rafayel was shocked by your words,nobody has ever called him beautiful when they saw the real form of him,calling him a monster. And there's you,the literal love of his life, calling him ethereal. He blinked few times,not believing this is real at all and hes daydreaming. "What...?" He was so suprised that its honestly cute "i said you are ethereal! the most beautiful man I have ever laid my eyes on, not even the most greatest writers,poet and artists could never write or draw someone as beautiful and sweet as you , my dear rafayel." You said with a soft smile,rafayel was at a lost for words,the butterflies that were fluttering in his stomach was insane,his heart skipped a beat nearly at your poetic words,his eyes shined even more , with full of love and affection,he truly was the luckiest man in the entire universe as he embraced you in a warm and tight hug,him shoving his face in your neck. he almost cried due to how happy he was- and how happy he had met you,his one and only. SO yesterday (sunday) he came over to mine, and my older friend was also here cuz she came round saturday night. she has a baby and shes like 8 months old. basically he was like playing w her an making her laugh (HES GOOD W KIDS OMG😊😊😊) and my friend went "thats ur man right there" and i laughed. he heard her and jus looked up and smiled at me 😏😏

when she left we were chilling in my room and i forgot all abt this tbh, but he gave me the charm he bought last week 😍😍😍 then cuz its his mums birthday soon we were looking for stuff to get her. then we thought of buying this cute box of fake pink roses that look real from some website and a charm from pandora and then a perfume she wants.

after like 2 hours we decided to go out for smth to eat (wingstop bc ITS FIRE and im fussy asf). when we left we saw 2 of his mates and one of them said to me "im jus gonna hav to pretend im interested in you to get him to make a move atp" 😭😭(he dint hear)

then we got home. i was laying on my stomach on my bed and he was downstairs talking to my mum (God knows abt what🤔 ) and he came up and layed next to me but dint say anything instead jus looked at me. then i said "what?" and he jus sighed and said "nothing" AND obviously it wasnt nothing but i dint wanna push it. i told my friend and she was like "he wants you so bad its UNREAL" LMFAOO 🤣(real)

today at schl we had science and we had that COVER/SUPPLY TEACHER AGAIN OMGGGG!! i wanted to cry like bro LEAVEEEEEEEEE!!!!! she made us answer true or false questions related to biology (ibsr idk the difrence between biology chemistry or physics its badddd) 😭😭😭 and if we thought it was true we had to go to the left side of the room and false, on the right (games you'd play w a fucking toddler, grow up!) and i knew the answer too one of the questions (SURPRISINGLY 😉) BUTTTT... i literally cant tell my lefts and rights (im dyslexic but also jus super dumb 🥹) so the boy was like "yes but what side do we go on" and i was like "hold on" and he went "YOU DONT KNOW UR LEFTS AN RIGHTS?". he was pissing himself w his friend and the teacher was like "how are you in top set w/o knowing ur lefts and rights?" first off pipe down, second, fucking LEAVEEE the SCHOOL MAN! he was takin the mick the whole day and then said " you wanna start learning how to drive as soon as you turn 18 but the driving instructors gonna go 'turn right' and ur gonna go left, straight into the fucking river" VIOLATED! Like kokichi's jesterism clowncore energy is not talked about enough in this fandom, he's not just a lying troll, he can also be a corny little canned-bit filled jokester! He can be your angle! Or yuor devil! But he and Kaede give off such an "annoying little brother"/"exhausted oldest sister" vibe in pointy objects it never fails to make me laugh and also feel feelings!

hi hello!! first of all thank u again for ur very sweet comments i keep rereading them . actively working on the next chapter and i reread them like an hour ago <3 also you are so me re: the writing thing literally i am writing this long ass response out as a warm up to getting started on the chapter again I SEE U. solidarity u got this class

as always below the cut because i like to yap (no spoilers butttttttt call it a small hint of what's to come next chapter)

ANYWAY !!! im glad people like that choice <3 his general silliness tends to get lost in canon in the midst of such a heavy fraught situation (where his dumbass is instigating fights constantly......) and so i feel it more natural to have it bleed into him in pointy objects you know? his backpack also offers just unreal opportunities for clownery and i can't help myself. i have issues with a lot of canon/fanon portrayals of kokichi so with him (as i do miu, and kiyo, and kaito, etc) i like to do the classic mogul move yoink & twist. i take character that needs fixer-uppering, mash 'em around like playdoh, and make them mostly the same but......better in my humble opinion. i feel like i do that pretty well with kokichi, and hearing those choices are appreciated makes me very happy <3

in that vein the kaede/kokichi dynamic is SOOOO important its one of my favorites ive worked into pointy objects i think. justice for my real protag kaede BUT her biting the dust so early both robbed canon content of what a friendship between them could look like. but it also gives me LOTS of room to pick up their barbie dolls and make them have good moments together. speaking of pointy objects canon, they arrived at camp within about a year of each other, before a lot of the other mainstay demigods began living there full time. gonta, miu, kaede, maki, and kokichi spent a lot of time as the only ones at camp; kids like kirumi/tenko/himiko/angie/kiyo are all summer-only, and full-timers ryoma, kaito, and kiibo came later (ages 14, 16, and within a few months of sonia giving them a soul [roughly the same stretch of time as ryoma's arrival], respectively).

all that lore TO say: kaede and kokichi grew up together in a lot of really important ways, and the dynamic that developed over the years very much is that exhausted older sister/exhausting little brother who are fiercely and kind of unexpectedly protective over one another. i could go on about all of the early full-time campers' dynamics because there's a lot within those five especially that i've like. developed in my brain? but havent fit into the 170k words 💀 the mind palace of spiderwebbing character relationships is very vast for how much has actually made it into the fic.....but wink wonk we WILL see a taste of it this next chapter

and finally, re edits: i did my one BIG edit fest back in may, and since then there haven't been any major changes. that said, i do reread the prior chapters quite often (checking details to make sure new writing doesn't have any discrepancies, getting myself back in the headspace to write shuuichi's voice, etc) and do occasionally find typos or phrasing or sentence flow i like changed, so i do fix those as i see them. that said, i DO know what you're talking about with chapter 3; that was a chapter i did pretty majorly redo in may, and there was definitely some redundant word use and odd sentence structure i went back and corrected. but i haven't made any changes that drastically alter the contents of the story; not more so than i did back in may, at least!

yungyu and yns dynamic has me in a chokehold actually cuz its ADORABLE BYE ugh the mutual teasing is just everything to me and i loved the part where yn tells yungyu to keep the water on his side of the ocean LMFAOO also the moment right before jaeyun tells yungyu and yn to not cause a scene (hes so dadcore its painful) …. omg i got butterflies actually if i were either of them irl i think id die of a heart attack on accident

two words: BEACH! VOLLEYBALL! that is also an essential in the 8turn beach episode like idfc if they play regular volleyball or that bs foot volleyball but VOLLEYBALL ON THE BEACH IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST (i say as ive never played volleyball on a beach before ??? we have to do that when we meet up)

ugh but omg … yungyu admiring reader before she fell asleep … crying emojis it was SO CUTEEEE UGH it had me blushing more than when haemin spoke twice like MAYBBEE it was just a tiny bit creepy BUT ill excuse it cuz its yungyu and he can do no wrong actually

and then when the two WOKE UP ??? SLEEPING UNDER THE SUN

it was the groups day off, meaning there was free range to do anything you guys pleased. when a beach day was recommended, it was happily agreed upon, therefore everyone prepared! when you and yungyu play too hard, you both sit down to relax; unknowing that sleep was creeping on the two of you.

PAIRING lee yungyu x fem!reader WC 2.1k TAGS best friends to lover trope. fluff. minor swearing. beach hangout. reader and gyu tease eachother like a lot. vague description of body. OMI NOTE this imagine has been something i've been dying to write because not only am i madly in love with yungyu, this is literally the scenario i've been dreaming about adhjb he is so precious. this isn't really a blurb but it's definitely not a super long thought out idea so it's not proofread. enjoy the sillies.

the melodic sound of waves washing upon the shore filled your ears. sand beneath your feet was hot, making you speed up slightly as you followed behind the group. everything took you by surprise, the calming atmosphere you weren’t used to, that was about to be completely ruined by the pandemonium of your friends.

at this point, you were unable to get a single word in before minho was running after seungheon and kyungmin was accidentally dropping items one by one while walking to the spot jaeyun chose. haemin followed closely behind, making sure to pick up everything the clumsy boy let fall. you could practically hear him rolling his eyes while kyung walked unknowingly.

all of their excitement was prominent, as it was their weekend off in awhile. it made your lips perk up into a smile, seeing them get to be kids again. however you weren’t one to talk, having been extremely busy as well.

the closer you got, the more you felt the salty breeze blowing through your hair. it covered up the summer heat seamlessly. setting your beach bag and cooler down on the towel that was set up, letting out a long sigh of relief after holding the heavy items.

“y/n ah are you excited?!” yungyu jumped up and down happily.

“i think i might die because i am very excited. i’ve been wanting to come to the beach forever!” you grin, giving off the same energy.

“okay because we better swim out as far as possible into the ocean before yoonsung ropes us into a sand castle competition.” he puts his hand over his eyes to block out sunlight, looking for his hyung that seemed to of disappeared.

“hey, what’s wrong with building sand castles? they’re fun!”

“um because he takes it way too seriously! if there aren’t moats and sand - people in his castle he starts whining like a baby.” 

“good point. let’s go!” you grab his hand quickly and start booking it down the shore, oblivious to the bright shade of maroon that tinted yungyu’s cheeks. it was way too early to get sunburnt, so he couldn’t hide his blush.

“come back soon, we’re gonna prep the net for beach volleyball!” kyungmin says, making the both of you nod in return.

small puffs of sand kicked behind you while you ran, soon replaced by splashes of water. the ocean water was warm, rising from your knees to your chest the farther you went in.

once you were at a comfortable level where the currents were calm and the sun shone brightly above, you let yourself relax. small strands of seaweed swam under the water, tickling your legs

“this is the greatest ever.” you float around calmly.

“somehow i can hear the random passerbys shrieking about myungho’s abs from here.” 

“jealous cause his abs are better than yours?” you wiggle your eyebrows.

“what’s that supposed to mean?!” he furrows his eyebrows.

“hehe i’m just kidding gyu, i like your abs.” you pause for a second, “wait– not in that way! i’m just saying they’re perfectly acceptable!”

“whhh–” 

“um, anyways! do you think seungheon is going to come out with us anytime soon?” you question, looking back at the black haired boy.

“he’s probably being hassled by minho to put on sunscreen so i doubt he saw us come out.” yungyu shook his head still flustered, swimming to get closer next to you.

“speaking of sunscreen, you might need some. you look really red, gyu!” you frown.

“psh– what are you talking about i am totally not red, you’re seeing things.” he splashed some water in your direction to distract you.

“what was that for?!” you splash back, “keep this water on your side of the ocean.”

“bro there is water everywhere.”

“you know what i mean you idiot.”

“oh really? so if i got some of my water on you what would happen hmm?” he teased, scooping some water in his hand to throw at your face. while you failed to shield yourself, some of it got in your mouth.

“yungyu!” you cough, going after him as he started swimming to shore. “i’m a faster swimmer than you are!” he yelled behind him.

you tailed behind yungyu, letting the waves carry you faster towards him and the shore, immediately chasing him as soon as you were free from the ocean. 

“yungyu you loser, get your ass back over here!” you shout.

“get away!”

catching up quickly, you tackle him down into the sand. you sat on top of him, playfully rubbing sand in his hair while he screams for help. 

too caught up in the moment, you didn’t account how your position atop yungyu was oddly romantic; halfway through, you were teasing him out of embarassment rather than actual anger. you heard a voice call out to you, interrupting your innocent giggles.

“y/n! yungyu! you both have to stop making a scene oh my god..” jaeyun waves both of you back.

looking back at the boy beneath you, he’s wearing a sheepish smile. he was panting exhaustedly, letting his arms flop to his sides in defeat. the both of you shared a similar shy expression, now aware of the position you were in.

“ah– i’m sorry gyu i didn’t mean to get carried away..” you swing your leg back over his body and pull him up from the floor.

“no no no it’s okay! we were just teasing eachother it’s fine. giving in so easily?” he jokes, dipping his hand in a wave that washed up and running it through his hair in an attempt to get some sand out.

“never. you look silly with all those speckles in your hair, i’d say it was deserved.” 

“whatever you say. let’s go see what hyung is up to.” he beams, switching in demeanor.

both of you get up from your spot on the sand and walk up to where everyone was hanging out. there were folding chairs set up alongside two umbrellas that were big enough to keep everyone in the shade. 

everyone chat amongst themselves while minho chopped up fruit to share with the group. you sat next to yungyu on a towel and shared watermelon from a little tupperware.

“looks like you guys were having fun.” haemin commented in between bites.

“something of the sorts.” you respond, reaching over to grab another piece of the refreshing snack.

“hey! haemin she’s just mad that she swallowed a little bit of water.” yungyu tells him.

“sixty - six percent of the water in my body is now half salt water, thanks.” you roll your eyes.

“you two argue like a couple.” haemin mentions, before getting up to put his empty container back in the cooler.

like a couple? the though itself made butterflies dance around in your stomach; you quickly darted your gaze away from yungyu, too nervous to look and him and try not to imagine what it would be like to actually be together.

today was slightly off for you, having been made self aware of just how close you and him have been throughout the day. and to add onto it, the day had just begun.

some time passed before everyone grouped up to play some beach volleyball. it wasn’t a group hangout if they weren’t playing on some kind of bet. according to jaeyun, losing team would have to pitch in together to buy ice cream at the end of the day.

this was extremely in character, and you were not planning on losing against them. after the teams were separated, everyone played for awhile.

the game got quite intense, some casual shit talking between both groups. yungyu and jaeyun had that disgusted look on their faces whenever they were met with eachother, only separated by the measly net. this sight made you laugh, taking a mental photo.

after awhile, the scores were practically tied. in the middle of this, everyone decided to take a thirty minute break to re - energize with lunch that was packed earlier in the morning. it was an under statement to say that you were exhausted.

yungyu laid out on a towel that was sheltered by the umbrellas, mindlessly scrolling through his phone. you followed right behind him, letting yourself lay your head on his chest. he was your best friend, and these types of contact were normal in your friendship, however part of you swore you heard his heartbeat quicken.

“are you tired already?” he mumbled above you.

“a little. myungho’s hits are not to fuck with, remind me not to get in a fight with him like.. ever.”

“y/n, anyone here could fold you.”

“i’m too sleepy to fight back with you.” you sigh, letting your eyes close.

“i better not catch you falling asleep, stupid.” he complains sarcastically, while you let out a small ‘mhm’ in response.

at that point, he decides to let you be for a little while. you were the sleepiest person he’s ever known, having the ability to pass out anywhere and everywhere. the rest knew this, and most of the time paying no mind to it.

however, only a few minutes passed before your breathing measured to a steady pace, your face relaxed, and you didn’t feel your damp bathing suit clinging to your body anymore. yungyu glanced down a little and noticed this, poking at your cheek.

he stared at you, letting a smile play on his lips. it was easier to admire you when you weren’t going back and forth teasing eachother. maybe haemin was right, anyone who didn’t look twice would think there was some kind of romantic relationship between the two of you.

and just like you, that was something he hoped for. he just didn’t exactly knew how you felt yet. blissfully unaware, gyu wrapped his arm around you and pulled you closer to him, planting a soft kiss on your forehead. his hand lay in the dip of your waist, fingers slightly ghosting over your elbow as you hugged yourself.

“god i wish you knew how i felt about you.” he said, the only words that left his lips before he let his eyes shut, sleep overtaking him as well.

the feeling of skin against yours became more noticeable as you came out of your sleep spell. feeling groggy, your eyes blink open slowly, immediately being met with the boy you were laying on.

“gyu?!” you shot up, looking around you to see the rest of the boys off playing by the shore, then looking back at him.

“good morning to you too.” yungyu yawned.

“did i seriously fall asleep on you? how long was i out?”

“we weren’t asleep for that long, don’t worry. probably fourty - five minutes at most. “ he checked his phone, confirming his suspicions. 

“shit, everyone is probably waiting for us to start the game.” you groan, rubbing your eyes.

“hey, it’s our day to relax. they probably don’t care and it’s only four thirty.” he mutters, using his arm still snaked around your waist to pull you closer to him.

“ah– when did you get so bold?” you squeak out.

“when i saw how cute you looked cuddled up against me.” he confesses casually.

“what.”

“what?”

“dude you can’t just say that! oh my god my heart..” you cover your face with your hands, embarrassed.

“scared you’re gonna fall in love with me?” he makes a gap between your middle and pointer finger to see your eye.

“i can’t be very scared for something that already happened.” you stutter.

“okay now you’re doing it! what the hell?!” he whines, removing your hands from your face.

“you started it first you idiot.” you pout, furrowing your eyebrows slightly.

“i’m just trying to get my point across! i was attempting to be suave with it.” he bites down on his bottom lip.

“that i like you, and best friends don’t exactly do the things that we do.” his voice gets quiet, the atmosphere suddenly feeling heavy.

it wasn’t like you two didn’t cuddle before,, but it would usually end up with seungmin silently creeping out of bed or you softly removing his arm or you leaving him gently

u rely on him more, the final trimester hard on you and ur so exhausted and hurting

u two getting the nursery ready together which actually consists of u sitting down rather than actually doing anything

though u will have to teach this boy how to put away bibs and fold baby clothes

u two are young and u both have a lot of explaining to do to your own families, but they are supportive

they r more than happy to teach u two about children and giving tips on these things

Is the ? FBI dude who literally harassed a 13 y/o and a family like. just basically excused bcuz hes good now i guess. like.. he didnt apologize or anything hes just helping them now? alright

2. i wisheddd Sash and Anne said "we're sorry" to Marcy when she was unconscious instead of "we forgive you" ? because like. idk i think they shouldve said sorry or give an apology too for basically ignoring their friend's interests like. hi guys ik it was fucked up she got you mixed up in the frog mess but Can't You Guys At Least Say Sorry she was STABBED and POSSESSED for goodness sake.

3. uhhh i think the plantars shouldnt have gotten over the heron trauma ptsd thing that quickly after one talk from Anne but i find it really sweet that they consider the Boonchuys their family so i forgive them TvT

NOOWWWW FOR THE GOOD THINGS: BASICALLY EVERYTHING ELSE. i LOVED the fight scenes ??? THE ABSOLUTE FLUIDITY OF THE MOVEMENTS. THE EMOTIONS WHEN ANNE WAS PUNCHIN ANDRIAS AND USING UP HER STRENGTH and like THE ENTIRE POPULATION OF LA cheering for her was just so sweet, The Darcy Sasha Grimes fight was so fun (i love. scythes.) AND SO FUCKED UP and i love it so much

THE MARCY IN THE MINDSCAPE SCENE LIVING HER FANTASY DREAMS AND THEN REALIZING "oh this isnt real" BECAUSE HER FRIENDS WOULDNT REALLY DO WHATEVER SHE WANTS IS SO SO 😭😭😭 BUT ALSO LIKE. YEAH THOSE FAKE ANNE AND SASHA WERE SO UNCANNY?? n i like how she essentially didnt move like she didnt explore her surroundings she was like. trapped like symbolized stasis somethin somethin unreal scenario AUGHDHGS made me feel things mannn (and that andrias flashback with marcy in the pocket and her happy theme made me T__T)

I find the overall pacing pretty good and I like how each scenes cut when it was getting exciting but also just showing what was going on in subplot A. B. C. like I enjoyed that I think!! It didnt feel like it dragged on too long but it also kept the suspense going which is a great thing when the episode is like 40 mins long . Like the scenes just flowed well imo!!!

I love The Boonchuys so much btw they r my everything. I love how everyone got their own like moment while fighting like its so good.

Also that ending was just so .... AUGEHSHGDHD HRGRHGRHAHSH cant wait for the finale

“The perpetual amusement on his face wanes ever so slightly, replaced by something soft.” the fact that THIS is the very first description we get of peter on this fic really sets the tone, amusement and softness are splashed all over your writing and in the way you build their relationship

that’s a bit random but I have to say that your food mentions in that brought a very special type of endearment and nostalgia. fries and shake were my favourite McDonald’s combo when I was younger and, of course, the pão de queijo mention made my lil brazilian heart skip a beat. i got embarrassingly excited lol

the skateboard scene!!! your description was so vivid that I could picture everything like a little film, even though I’m not familiar at all with skateboarding.

peter being so patient and attentive!!! peter coming up with the most random things to spend time with her!! the way he’s always calling her sweetheart 😩😩😩

the song scene!!! the way you wrote it made it flow so easily and lovely, reading it while listening to the same songs literally felt like a out of body experience. I know I’ve said this before many times, but you’re so so so talented!!!!

“It's magnetic in its awkwardness. Why do people dance? Because something about music makes you desperate to feel it, and something about Peter's pretty face open with the simple joy of singing in the street multiplies that. You're not sure you could've kept still if you wanted to, a vestibule of immeasurable slap dap joy.” oh my GOD this paragraph. you’re so insanely talented.

also, “You look at Peter and reckon it of him. You can't imagine he's ever been cruel in his life.” there’s something about that line that makes me love him so much. like. he’s a superhero, he’s constantly fighting crime and bad people and, in all honesty, he’s never been cruel in his life. I’m not one to judge someone’s morals, but here we have peter, a boy that has been through so much his whole life and he’s still so gentle and caring. i love him.

the movie scene!!!! “I missed you all week, I'm not going home. I would've come with a stab wound." absolutely sick. also, the coming out scene was really sweet and made me feel this insane fondness for peter, a overwhelming feeling that you described perfectly. “You pretend to shut your door, stand there listening to his panicked apologies through the crack, hungry for those extra seconds of his voice.” 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

the domesticity of when she’s in his room, just keeping him company!!! discussing what should they eat!!! love love love some domestic love!! and “It's just your hands feel like they were meant to be held to my face. I want to hold them there.”??? sick. sick sick SICK I love it

playing uno and hiding cards!! the way he’s SO gentle about her scars!! genuinely crying.

“You're my best friend," he says, love sewed into the seams of each syllable. "The best friend I have ever had. Nothing will change that." 

the whole last scene is gorgeously written. their spinning and dancing. when she says “I think you're my honeybody”. all of that was BEAUTIFUL.

but my absolute favourite part was the last sentence. the wine dark reference. I loved it during the painting scene, loved it during the call and realising you’ve finished it with that reference made my heart feel this wave of fondness and awe – for them, for your writing, but mostly, for you. I actually really love Roy’s character. It turns out to be very humble actually and he has some insightful and lowkey poetic that lines i love. Besides that he’s hilarious. 

SO the whole time i was wondering how they’d get out of the whole “same day forever”-thing, if they were to. and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that they had such a logical way out of it: science. Not anything cheesy like “a true love’s kiss” or “you learned your lesson”. Pure logic and Sarah’s hard work to get there. Huge fan of this. 

I will never get over how good Nyles looks waking up and Sarah is xtra pretty in that scene:’) 

Nyles just wants to stay in a loop forever because it means for sure that he gets to stay with Sarah forever and I’m lowkey into it but also like lowkey LISTEN TO HER AND GO WITH HER PLAN, NYLES
